Frequently asked questions

Does using 9Video cost anything?

The app is free. You pay the LLM and Pexels providers directly, based on your own usage — 9Video doesn't stand in the middle charging extra.

What do I need before I start?

An API key for an OpenAI-compatible LLM service, and a Pexels key (free). Enter both once, in Settings.

Where are videos saved?

On your machine's disk. No copy is ever uploaded to our servers.

Is there a Windows version?

Not yet. Leave your email and we'll let you know when there is.

How powerful does my machine need to be?

macOS 12 or later, running on either Apple Silicon or Intel. Render time depends on video length and your machine's specs.
